How to Touch What
Published in Hardcover by powerHouse Books (01 October, 2000)
Average review score:

this book is better than tomato pasteThis is a great book. It's simple enough to glance through easily without thought but the intriguing pictures make you want to examine each picture and word in rubber stamping and see how they relate to each other. I've read this book about 5 times or more now because i always want to go back and look more closely into the detailed pictures. I think the book really says a lot about the authors too. The pictures just seem so real and familiar.

Human Development
Published in Hardcover by Prentice Hall College Div (September, 1982)
Average review score:

Human Development is an excellent textbook.Human Development is an excellent textbook,
and one of the best textbooks I have ever used
in my studies in Psychology. The author has laid
out the chapters in chronological order from
infancy to old age. Theories of development are clearly explained and
charted. Many true-life examples of research and
studies are scattered throughout the text, making
theoretical material easy to comprehend.
I would highly recommend this textbook to any instructor
who is in search of high quality up-to-date material.

Human Resource Management: A Managerial Tool for Competitive Advantage
Published in Hardcover by South-Western College Pub (12 July, 1999)
Average review score:

HR Management by Kleiman: A Practical TextWhile there is no shortage of texts on human resources management, it is not easy to find one as practical and useful as Human Resource Management: A Tool for Competitive Advantage by Lawrence Kleiman. I train new HR managers and consult with General Managers in China and have found this to be the best book for both audiences. The case studies and practical applications are right on the money, even in multinationals doing business in foreign countries. This is a must-have for my library.

Hypnotic Alteration of Sensory Perceptual and Psychophysical Processes
Published in Hardcover by Irvington Pub (June, 1980)
Average review score:

EssentialThis entire four book set is fantastic. If only choosing one to purchase, I would choose volume one, or volume four. This set provides great insight into Erickson's approach to hypnosis.

Hypnotic Investigation of Psychodynamic Processes (Vol. 3 of Collected Paper of Milton H. Erickson)
Published in Hardcover by Irvington Pub (January, 1980)
Average review score:

EssentialGreat set of books, the four volumes give excellent insight into Erickson. However, if not purchasing the entire set, get volume one or volume four.

I'll Take My Stand
Published in CD-ROM by (01 November, 2000)
Average review score:

Fools and fiddlersNot many fantasy novels have the post-Civil War south as a setting. In fact, this might be the only one. It is even more likely to be the only novel to have an overly-cautious demonic mule and a downright rash fiddler as the main characters ... not to mention the only one where being dead hasn't stopped Abe Lincoln from being in charge of the Union. If you are looking for fantasy so southern that you can taste the tobacco juice, this might be the book for you.

"I'm Not a Racist, But...": The Moral Quandary of Race
Published in Hardcover by Cornell Univ Pr (November, 2001)
Average review score:

A Really Important BookThis book just has so much that's useful in it I forget that it's written by a philosopher; and yet everything the author says is said very carefully and is so well-reasoned. What is racism? What is race? Can blacks be racist too? These are some of the questions addressed. I really love the examples the author uses where he asks the reader to consider whether the response is "racist" or not and his references to current movies; and I don't think I've ever read a better "brief history" of race and racism. That chapter in particular is a must-read for those of us who teach sociology, psychology, or history courses in race or prejudice. His approach is so much more nuanced than most in his understanding of the social construction of race alongside his understanding that we can not forget that shared historical and social experiences mean something central to people. This book is destined to become a source that scholars and educators alike will turn to and recommend to others. Not a flash in the pan treatment of a trendy topic -- but a really important book!

In the Half Light
Published in Paperback by Carroll & Graf (December, 2003)
Average review score:

A Wonderful TaleThat Anthony lawrence is an acclaimed poet is obvious as soon as this saga begins. The manner in which he has woven and threaded words to create this soul wrenching story is more than captivating, it is an artistry! I couldn't put In The Half Light down once I began reading. It is truly one of the best novels I've ever read. It will take you on a journey that will remain with you always.
